Alison Ness
Sports Medicine

Alison Ness begins her seventh season as an assistant athletic trainer at Middle Tennessee, with women's basketball as her primary responsibility. Ness is a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association.

Her primary responsibility is all of the health care needs of the women's basketball team. She also assists with the care of athletes from Middle Tennessee's 16 other Division I sports. Other responsibilities include education of graduate and undergraduate curriculum athletic training students in the classroom and training room, in addition to inventory and supply ordering and other administrative duties within the Sports Medicine department.

Prior to Middle Tennessee, Ness spent one year as an athletic trainer for the football team at Florida Atlantic University.

The Olmsted Falls, Ohio, native received her bachelor's in health science/athletic training with a minor in psychology at Slippery Rock in 2000. She received her master's in athletic training from West Virginia in 2002.

Ness currently lives in Murfreesboro with her husband, Will, who is the head athletic trainer at Lipscomb in Nashville.
