David Powell begins his third season as the softball contact for Middle Tennessee and his second as a graduate assistant. He also serves as the soccer contact for the Blue Raiders.

He earned his bachelor's in Newspaper/Magazine Journalism from Middle Tennessee in 2007. Powell holds minors in both Spanish and Global Studies.

Powell has worked in the athletic communications office since Fall 2005 in a variety of capacities, including helping with gameday activities for men's and women's basketball, football, baseball, softball, soccer and volleyball. The past two soccer seasons he has broadcast games live on the internet at GoBlueRaiders.com.

Powell is currently working on his master's in Sport Management from Middle Tennessee.
