Shawn McCarthy begins his second season in charge of Sports Medicine for the Blue Raider tennis program.

McCarthy joined the Middle Tennessee athletic program after graduating Cum Laude from the University of West Virginia in May 2004 with a bachelor's in Athletic Training. At WVU McCarthy worked with the football, soccer and baseball teams during his tenure.

The Newark, Del., native also worked as an intern for the Carolina Panthers in 2003. The son of LuAnn Zajacz-kowski, McCarthy is working on his master's in Sport Management at Middle Tennessee.
