Tyrone Jenkins is beginning his fifth season as a volunteer assistant for the Blue Raider volleyball squad.

Jenkins has numerous years of experience in the club coaching ranks. Over the years, he has been responsible for developing some of the most highly recruited players to come out of the Kansas City, Mo., area.

His first foray into the coaching ranks came in 1995, when Jenkins was an assistant for Maryville University in St. Louis. Jenkins spent two seasons with the Lady Saints, helping lead the team to a conference finals appearance in 1996.

In 1997, Jenkins was hired as the first assistant at Park University. From 1997 to 2000, he helped the Lady Pirates to a 31-18 record.

Jenkins was an All-American setter for Graceland University from 1989 to 1992.
