Reid, Koger Win at Texas Relays

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Stephany Reid and Chris Koger both won in the triple and long jump, respectively, to lead the 12-member Middle Tennessee contingent during the final day of competition at the 75th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. The remainder of the Blue Raider and Lady Raider squads competed at the Yellowjacket Invitational in Atlanta, Ga., with results not available late Saturday.

Reid jumped 41-7.75 to win the women's triple jump, while teammate Kim Freeman finished 10th in the event with a mark of 39-8.75. Koger cleared 6-11.75 in the high jump to win the event.

In running events for the Lady Raiders, the 4x200m relay finished sixth in 1:38.08,while the 4x400m squad false-started in the event finals.

For the Blue Raiders in running events, the 4x100m and 4x400m relay did not start in the event finals, but the 4x200m squad came in third in 1:24.20.

Both the Lady Raiders and Blue Raiders will compete in the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn., next Friday and Saturday on the University of Tennessee campus.
