UT-Chattanooga Sweeps Lady Raiders 3-1, 1-0

After six scoreless innings, UTC took the lead in the second game off an RBI single by Tara Garner, which sent home first baseman Jada Prescatore. Junior hurler Stayc Preator picks up the loss and falls to 6-11 on the season, allowing five hits and striking out six.
Middle Tennessee dropped the first game 3-1 against UT-Chattanooga. The Lady Raiders scored first in the bottom of the third inning. Ashlie Way doubled and was replaced at second by pinch runner Katie McCraw. A wild pitch by Lady Mocs pitcher Beth Alexander sent McCraw to third and she scored on a UTC error.
UTC posted two runs on the board in the top of the fifth inning on RBI singles by Grace Pickett and Melissa Rameriz. The Lady Mocs added one run in the top of the seventh on another RBI single by Rameriz.
Pitcher Jennifer Martinez picked up the loss and falls to 13-12 on the season. She went five innings, striking out three, before being replaced by Amanda Kendall who worked two innings and also struck out three.
Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5 when the Lady Raiders will host Sun Belt Conference foe New Mexico State. It will be the last home stand of the season for Middle Tennessee and Senior Day for seven Lady Raider players.
