Soccer Concludes Spring Season

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee Blue Raider soccer team concluded its spring season last weekend with three victories in a 9-v-9 tournament at the Blue Raider Soccer Field, with four goals from Danielle LaDuke and three apiece by Emily Carter and Laura Miguez.
The Blue Raiders won the opening game of the day, a 6-1 victory over Trevecca. LaDuke scored twice, while Carter, Miguez, Britney Camden and Megan McGregor each tallied one goal for the victors.
Middle Tennessee defeated the Franklin Express, 1-0, in the second game of the day for the Blue Raiders, with Jenny Cox netting the only goal of the match. Miguez, LaDuke and Carter all scored twice in the final game, a 6-1 win over Bethel.
Head coach Aston Rhoden and the Blue Raiders open the 2002 season on August 30 at Southeast Missouri. Middle Tennessee opens the home slate on September 6 against Southern Miss.
