Lady Raiders Tie for 16th at Myrtle Beach
September 8, 2002 · MT Media RelationsSophomore Kristin Lynch fired a final-round 78 for the Lady Raiders Sunday at the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C. (MT)
Lynch struggled in the first two rounds of the tournament but fired a six-over-par 78 Sunday to lead the Lady Raiders, her second-best round as a collegian after firing a 75 at last year's Sun Belt Championships.
Harter becomes only the third player to take top individual honors at a tournament for the Lady Raiders, finishing at 233 after rounds of 75-79-79. Tamara Munsch was the top individual at every tournament last season, with Kandace Burnett tying Munsch at the conference championships.
Munsch fired her second-straight round in the 70's with a 79 on Sunday, followed by Burnett with an 83 and Grace Holmes with an 84. The Lady Raiders shot 323-319-319-961 in the three rounds as a team, the third best team total in school history.
