TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama's Dawn Nash scored three times in the first 21 minutes to lead the homestanding Crimson Tide to a 4-0 victory over Middle Tennessee Sunday afternoon at the Alabama Soccer Complex.

The Crimson Tide jumped out early with three goals in the first 21 minutes of the match, all from the junior, Nash. Nash redirected a corner kick from Cally Morrill in the seventh minute for a 1-0 lead, then converted a one-v-one after a long ball from Libby Probat in the ninth minute. Nash completed the natural hat trick in the 21st minute on another one-v-one after a through ball from Morrill.

The Blue Raiders picked up the intensity after the third goal and played much better for the remainder of the first half. Alabama outshot Middle Tennessee, 8-6, in the opening 45 minutes, and UA also had four corners to none for the Blue Raiders.

Katie French netted the fourth goal for Alabama on a penalty kick in the 55th minute, and the Crimson Tide had more opportunities in the second half, forcing Blue Raider keeper Emily Shrum to make six saves after the break and seven in the match.

Middle Tennessee again played without the services of freshman defender Sarah Schmidt for the second straight contest, and junior Jenny Cox also missed the match after hurting her knee in Friday night's contest at Auburn.

The Blue Raiders return home Friday for a 3 p.m. match against Alabama A&M at Blue Raider Soccer Field.
