Lynch Has Career-Best Finish; Lady Raiders Tie for 4th

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Sophomore Kristin Lynch enjoyed her best tournament as a collegian and Middle Tennessee shot its best round of the tournament on Tuesday to finish in a tie for fourth at the Lady Razorback Invitational. The Lady Raiders carded rounds of 328-321-315 for an aggregate of 964 to tie Illinois State for fourth and finish just two shots behind third place Augusta State.

Host Arkansas won the event with a 937 to easily outdistance Oral Roberts, who tallied a 946.

Lynch, from nearby Tullahoma, TN, registered her best finish ever by tieing Oral Roberts' Candice Satow for sixth place. Lynch had rounds of 82-76-77=235 to record the best finish by any Lady Raider this season.

"Kristin really hit the ball well this week," head coach Rachael Moore said. "She was real consistent, made some putts, and just played real solid."

Tamara Munsch finished with a 78 in the final round to tie for 12th overall with a 238, while Kandace Burnett tied for 22nd with a 243. After opening round scores of 81-84, Burnett responded with a 78 on Tuesday.

Kemmerlee Pennington, playing her first tournament of the fall, tied for 30th with a 249. Sophomore Amanda Harter completed the Lady Raider scoring with a 255 to tie for 45th.

The Lady Raiders will play their final match of the fall season on Oct. 28-30 at the John Kirk/Lady Panther Invitational.
