Deckard Has 29 Kills to Lead Lady Raiders
November 7, 2002 · MT Media RelationsDeckard started the match slow, scoring just two kills in the first game, but picked up the pace by netting 27 kills over the next four games. She also recorded a team-high 20 digs in the win.
"KeKe played really well on offense," said Middle Tennessee Head Coach Lisa Kissee. "She stepped it up and had an amazing match."
The Lady Raiders (16-11, 7-4 Sun Belt) hit .217 for the match while posting 94 digs and 12 blocks. ASU (9-19, 3-9 SBC) was held to a .163 hitting percentage while collecting 85 digs and nine blocks.
Katie Thiesen and Dara McLean complimented Deckard by adding 13 and 11 kills, respectively, as setter Kelly Quinn dished out 62 assists.
Middle Tennessee will be back in action when it travels to Little Rock, AR takes on Arkansas Little Rock in a conference match on Friday at 7 p.m.
