MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee 10th-ranked and top-seeded Daniel Klemetz dropped his first-round match Thursday in three sets in the Omni Hotels National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in Farmers Branch, Texas, presented by The Dallas Morning News, at Brookhaven Country Club.

Klemetz dropped a 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-7 (4), decision to 44th-ranked Phil Stolt of Illinois. Klemetz falls into the consolation bracket and will play again Friday at the second collegiate grand slam of the year.
