Softball Field
May 29, 2001 ·Referred to as Observatory Park by many in the athletic department due to the location of the astrology department's observation tower behind the first base bleachers, the Blue Raider softball field was built in 1994.
Middle Tennessee unveiled its newly renovated softball complex on April 18, 2006. The $500,000 enhancement project includes a concession stand, public restrooms, two camera decks, new dugouts and a landscaped entrance area.
Bleacher style seating stretches from along the first base side of the field all the way around to the third base side, with the ability to comfortably seat over one thousand spectators. The outfield wall measures 190 feet in both corners while straight away center field is 220 feet.
