MOREHEAD, Ky. - Behind a strong day from senior Patrick Williams, Middle Tennessee's golf team is in second place after 36 holes at the MSU Silver Springs Classic. The Blue Raiders had a two-round total of 596 to stand seven shots behind tournament leader Murray State.
Williams carded a 72 in round one and came back with a 75 in the second round for a 147 total. Williams' effort has him tied for fourth overall.
Carter Henderson registered a 149 to climb to ninth overall, while teammates Blake Bivens and Josh Nelms are tied for 10th with a pair of 150s. Charlie Gibson rounded out the scoring with a 160.
The Blue Raiders will play the final round beginning Saturday morning.
