Lady Raiders Tied for 5th at Bulldog Intercollegiate

CALERA, Ala. - Sunny spring weather greeted the 18 teams participating in the first round of the Samford Invitational on Monday at Timberline Golf Course. The players took advantage of the ideal conditions, firing low scores.

The lowest team scores belonged to Alabama and Jacksonville State, tied for first with a 300, while Middle Tennessee is tied for fifth with a 317.

Tamara Munsch paced the Lady Raiders with a 72 in the first round, while Kandace Burnett recorded an 81. Kristin Lynch and Kemmerlee Pennington both had rounds of 82, and Amanda Harter completed the scoring with an 83.

The final round is set for 8 AM on Tuesday.
