Lady Raiders in Second after Round One
April 7, 2003 · MT Media RelationsHATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team conquered everything on the opening day of the 11th annual Lady Eagle Classic except the weather and host Southern Miss. Southern Miss' team is 16 strokes better than the Lady Raiders (311) and 17 strokes better than East Tennessee State. Samford (312) and Troy State (320) complete the top five.
The Lady Raiders were led by junior Tamara Munsch who fired rounds of 76-76 to stand in a tie for fifth overall. Teammate Kandace Burnett recorded a pair of 77s to tie for 10th.
Grace Holmes and Kristin Lynch registered a pair of 79s, while Amanda Harter completed the scoring with an opening round 80.
