Q & A with Alex Suber and Jonathan Harris
Insight from your favorite Blue Raider
MT

Running back Alex Suber and safety Jonathan Harris answered questions following Thursday's practice. (MT) Send this photo to your mobile phone!

Sophomore RB Alex Suber
1. What is the one thing that stands out to you more than anything else from today's practice?

"The offense came out more enthusiastic today. We had a bad day (Wednesday) and everybody came out wanting to get better today."

2. If you could play any other position on the field, what would it be and why?

"Probably quarterback. I really enjoy watching my brother (Allen) play quarterback in high school and college."

3. What is the best advice you have been given?

"Keep the Lord first and take advantage of opportunities and the blessings you have been given."

4. What are your thoughts on the 2006 season?

"I'm excited and I think everybody is. We just want to win and I think the coaches realize we want to win so everybody is willing to do what they tell us to do."

5. Which one of your teammates/coaches do you find to be the most interesting on or off the field and why?

"I would say (WR) Dale Galvin. He's a crazy guy. I just leave it at that."

6. What are some of your hobbies, interests, or hidden talents that someone may not know about?

"There aren't too many hidden talents, playing Playstation and relaxing."

Senior S Jonathan Harris
1. What is the one thing that stands out to you more than anything else from today's practice?

"All the guys are competing more. Coach 'Stock' is always saying he likes to see persistence and some of the areas he really is looking for guys to step up is corners and receivers and I think we are starting to compete more at those positions."

2. If you could play any other position on the field, what would it be and why?

"Probably running back or fullback. I played those positions in Pop Warner. It would be nice to run the ball a little bit."

3. What is the best advice you have been given?

"Sometimes I think of myself as being too perfect and my dad (Donald) told me not to change that, keep going hard and let the coaches do their job."

4. What are your thoughts on the 2006 season?

"I expect to see a changed team. The guys are working harder than I have ever seen the team work. We have new coaches and everyone wants to make that good impression. Everyone is fighting for their position and the guys are starting to lead more. I am trying to lead more and give as many tips as I can to the safeties and the newcomers."

5. Which one of your teammates do you find to be the most interesting on or off the field and why?

"I guess that would be (RB) Eugene Gross. I pretty much came in with him and every day he is trying to work on something new. When I go into a practice I'm always thinking about where I made a mistake the practice before. Eugene is always trying to better himself the next day, whether it be a new move, a new technique thing, just anything to get an edge and get better."

6. What are some of your hobbies, interests, or hidden talents that someone may not know about?

"I really don't have too many hobbies. I guess the video games and sometimes I like to grab the dictionary and maybe learn a new word to extend my vocabulary a little bit."
