Kruse and Varnell Exit NCAA Tournament
May 21, 2003 · MT Media RelationsGAINESVILLE, Fla. - Middle Tennessee's Manon Kruse and Stacy Varnell fell 6-4, 6-1 to No. 3 seeded Sarah Riske and Aleke Tsoubanos of Vanderbilt Tuesday at the NCAA Doubles Tennis Championships held at the Alfred Ring Tennis Complex on the University of Florida Campus.
Kruse and Varnell, ranked No. 19th in the ITA, end the season with a 16-11 record overall. It also marks the end of senior Varnell's career, as she leaves Middle Tennessee holding the record for most doubles wins in a career with 92.
