Volleyball Falls to Long Beach 3-1

LINCOLN, Neb. - Middle Tennessee volleyball (3-1) suffered its first loss of the season falling 3-1 (25-30, 30-26, 24-30, 26-30) to Long Beach State (4-1) Friday at the University of Nebraska Tournament.
The Blue Raiders had three Blue Raiders record double figure kills with sophomore Ashley Adams tying with Long Beach's Alexis Crimes for the most kills in the match with 17. Victoria Monasterolo registered 13 kills and fellow junior Quanshell had 11.
Middle Tennessee took game two after dropping the first game to start the match. The Blue Raider's .237 attack percentage in game two was the highest in a single game from both clubs. Overall, the Blue Raiders had a season-low .114 attack percentage. Long Beach ended the match with a .128 attack percentage.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Saturday to face host Nebraska. Middle Tennessee will play the No. 1 ranked Huskers at 7:30 p.m.
