MCCOLLUM ON TODAY'S PRACTICE: "We still have a lot of things to work on, but overall it was a good day. I was pleased with Sam Williams and some plays he made, and I was also happy to see Muhammad Rashada make a couple of nice plays to grab interceptions. We also got a lot of quality work in on special teams."
NOTES FROM TEAM VS TEAM: WR Sam Williams caught six passes ... Eugene Gross, Ryan Edmiston, Kerry Wright and Jerrin Holt each had two receptions, while Hashem Joyner, Clinton Corder, Terry Jackson, and Luke Paschall recorded one each ... QB Andrico Hines completed 8 of 12 passes, while Clint Marks was 6-for-10 through the air ... Josh Harris was 4-for-9 in the passing department ... LB Alvin Fite tipped a Clint Marks pass and Muhammad Rashada used great concentration to register the interception ... On the final play of the drill, Rashada made a nice break on the ball and picked off Andrico Hines ... WS Brandon Lynch recorded a nice pass breakup when he extended his right arm in front of the intended receiver to knock the pass away.
ANDY MAC "LIVE": Andy Mac "Live", the weekly radio show with Blue Raider head football coach Andy McCollum, will be broadcast live on Thursday's from the Bunganut Pig in Murfreesboro for the entire 12-week schedule from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Due to Middle Tennessee's opening game being on a Thursday night, the first show of the season will air Tuesday, August 26. Following is a list of the 19 stations that carry Andy Mac "Live": WQSV (Ashland City), WKRM (Columbia), WDKN (Dickson), WEKR (Fayetteville), WAKM (Franklin), WHIN (Gallatin), WANT (Lebanon), WAXO (Lewisburg), WLIV (Livingston), WMSR (Manchester), WBMC (McMinnville), WBOZ (Murfreesboro), WGNS (Murfreesboro), WAMB (Nashville), WKSR (Pulaski), WZNG (Shelbyville), WJLE (Smithville), WJIG (Tullahoma), and WCDT (Winchester).
BRIGHT FUTURE: On Middle Tennessee's current offensive and defensive depth chart, the 22 positions have 16 freshmen and sophomores. A total of nine are freshman, while seven are sophomores. The tight end position was not included, which presently has a redshirt freshman at No. 1 and No. 2.

TIDBITS: Head Coach Andy McCollum was the guest speaker for the MTSU Recreational Center staff this morning. McCollum talked about attitude, being accountable, and the differences between winners and losers ... Andy McCollum will shoot his first television show of the season this Sunday from Floyd Stadium ... The Tennessean's David Climer will have a column on quarterback Andrico Hines on Friday morning ... Media at today's practice included Tony Stinnett and Monte Hale of the Daily News Journal.
FAN DAY: Middle Tennessee's annual fan day is set for August 16 at Noon in Floyd Stadium. Fans will be able to gain autographs from all the players and coaches, while also having the opportunity to take a picture with their favorite Blue Raider. There will be free cokes and hot dogs, a rock climbing wall, a football toss game, and 102.9 The Buzz will be doing a live remote from the event. Fan day is free and open to the public.
