Narramore finishes strong at Mason Rudolph

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's Chas Narramore fired a 72 in the final round and was 1-under with a 215 overall to finish tied for third with Vanderbilt's Luke List at the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate at the Vanderbilt Legends Club Tuesday.

Narramore was two shots behind low medalist Silas Sutton, Mercer, and Kyle Peterman, Memphis, who shot 3-under for the tournament. The third-place showing was the second-highest finish of Narramore's career. He finished second at the USA Spring Classic last season. It's also Narramore's second Top 10 finish this fall, giving Middle Tennessee seven Top 10 finishes through four fall tournaments.

"Chas played very well the entire tournament because he hit fairways and greens," Middle Tennessee Head Coach Johnny Moore said. "He played within himself and made good decisions. It was his best tournament by far."

The Blue Raiders did not fare so well as a team, although they fired a 299 in the final round, and finished eighth overall with a 897. Aside of Narramore, Middle Tennessee did not have a player finish in the Top 30 of the team scoring. Bart Barnes, playing as an individual, tied for 27th with a 225. Nick Bailes (226) tied for 31st and Rick Cochran (227) had his toughest outing of the fall with a disappointing tie for 36th after three Top 10s to start the fall.

Craig Smith (230) tied for 47th and Kent Bulle (237) tied for 67th.

Mississippi won the tournament with a 12-over 876, easily outdistancing North Florida and Vanderbilt. They tied for second with an 884.
