Blue Raiders Fall to FAU 3-0

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Middle Tennessee volleyball (19-7, 10-3 SBC) dropped just its second Sun Belt road match of the season falling to Florida Atlantic (8-15, 5-8 SBC) 3-0 (24-30, 28-30, 25-30) Friday in FAU Arena.
It was only the second time this season the Blue Raiders were swept by an opponent. The only other time was against top-ranked Nebraska on September 2.
Middle Tennessee hit an anemic .127 the third-lowest attack percentage this season and broke a streak of three consecutive matches the club had hit above .300. The Blue Raiders had 48 kills but committed 33 errors and had seven service errors.
The Blue Raiders had just two players register double figure kills. Senior Jessica Robinson led the team with 11 kills and Ashley Adams had 10. However, the almost ever-steady Adams committed a rare eight errors in the match.
Middle Tennessee continues its road swing through South Florida taking on Florida International on Sunday. Match time is set for noon.
