Blue Raiders Defeat South Alabama
Adams notches 23 kills
November 3, 2006 ·MOBILE, Ala. - Sophomore Ashley Adams had 23 kills in Middle Tennessee volleyball's 3-1 30-21, 30-21, 29-31, 30-16) victory over South Alabama Friday at Jag Gym.
The Blue Raiders improve to 21-7 overall and 12-3 in the Sun Belt. South Alabama falls to 5-21 and 0-14 in the Sun Belt.
Middle Tennessee hit .241 in the match and had 70 kills. The club also averaged 11.5 blocks per game.
Freshman Leslie Clark registered her third double double of the season with 58 assists and 11 digs. Junior Victoria Monasterolo recorded a season-high 20 digs and senior Jessica Robinson added 17 kills.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Saturday when the club faces Troy. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
