MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's third-ranked Andreas Siljestrom and Marco Born moved with one match of a national championship with an 8-5 victory over Michigan Saturday at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in Columbus, Ohio.

Siljestrom-Born defeated Michigan's fifth-ranked Brian Hung and Matko Maravic, 8-5, Saturday morning in the semifinals. The Middle Tennessee tandem will play in the National Indoors finals for the second straight year. The duo lost to Ohio State's Scott Green-Ross Wilson in 2005 and will take on Georgia's top-seeded and ninth-ranked John Isner and Luis Flores at 11 a.m. ET.

"I thought we played better today. [Michigan] was better than the teams we've been playing," head coach Dale Short said. "We're still returning pretty well and served a little bit better. We won by two breaks again and I'm really pleased with the way we played.

"I feel pretty good about the final and the crowd won't be so one-sided like it was last year [when they played Ohio State]. They guys just need to play their game, remind themselves we're an overpowering team, an intimidating team, and really attack the serve and put a lot of pressure on the first volleys. We've done a little better with that each match," Short said.

"Obviously [Georgia] is very good and there will be three players on the court who are 6-foot-9 [Isner], maybe a first in college tennis. But our guys have been here before, so they know what to expect."

Results will be on itatennis.com, updated throughout each day. The ITA will try to live score some matches. RadioTennis.com and Ken Thomas will be broadcasting some of the matches on Saturday and Sunday.
