MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Middle Tennessee's Kristin Lynch fired an opening-round 76 to lead the Lady Raiders at the University of Alabama/Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate Sunday in Brookwood, Ala.

Touney action was suspended due to heavy rain and lightning with several groups still on the course. Tournament action was also delayed by an hour at the beginning of the day because of rain, as the Lady Raiders were scheduled to tee off at 9:50 a.m. and did not complete their round until after 4:30 p.m. because of intermittent rain during the round.

Lynch's 76 led the Lady Raiders, who finished the day with a team score of 324. Senior Tamara Munsch-Akers carded a 79 on Sunday, while freshman Jenny Kim shot an 81. Freshman Maggie McGill finished with an 88, and sophomore Grace Holmes carded a 95.

"Kristin, Tamara and Jenny all played pretty well, considering the conditions," Lady Raider head coach Rachael Moore said. "We jsut have to keep working throughout the lineup and move up the leaderboard Monday and Tuesday."

First-round action is scheduled to resume at 10:30 a.m. (CT) on Monday, weather permitting. Second-round action will begin at non (CT) with a shotgun start. Alabama and Mississippi State share the clubhouse lead at 302, with Alabama's Darby Sligh carding the only sub-apr round in the clubhouse with a 70.
