Lady Raiders Finish 8th at UA-Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team finished eighth at the UA-Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate that concluded on Tuesday. The Lady Raiders shot a two-round total of 653 on the par 72 Capstone Club Golf Course.

The tournament was shortened to 36 holes following Monday's rain out of round two.

Florida State won the event with a 610, which was six shots better than second place Mississippi State. LSU and Alabama finished third and fourth, respectively.

Kristin Lynch paced the Lady Raiders with a 155 following rounds of 76 and 79. Lynch was 11th overall out of 68 golfers. Freshman Jenny Kim tied for 21st to record her best finish ever with a 160.

Middle Tennessee's number one golfer, Tamara Munsch-Akers, had a disappointing showing with a 165 total. Munsch-Akers tied for 33rd with rounds of 79 and 86. Freshman Maggie McGill tied for 51st with a 173, while Grace Holmes finished 62nd.

The Lady Raiders will travel next to Monkey Island, OK, for the Battle of the Lake Invitational on Oct. 6-7.
