MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee head football coach Rick Stockstill announced today that players Roy Polite and Darrell Howard would be suspended from the team indefinitely due to a series of team rules violations. Polite and Howard will not participate in spring drills.
Polite (Jacksonville, Fla.) was a starter in nine games at cornerback last year, while Howard (Covington, Ga.), a rising junior, played in just three games as a backup offensive lineman.
The players will be reevaluated at the end of the 2007 spring semester.
