Coaches show tonight at Bluesboro

BLUE RAIDERS REMAIN 17TH IN AP POLL: Middle Tennessee remained 17th in this week's Associated Press poll released Monday. The Blue Raiders are 17th for the second straight week.

Middle Tennessee has been ranked in the AP poll for the last seven weeks and have been in the Top 25 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll for seven consecutive rankings heading into Tuesday's poll.

RICK INSELL LIVE TONIGHT: Head coach Rick Insell's weekly radio show takes place tonight at 6 p.m. at Bluesboro on the square in Murfreesboro. The show airs only on 88.3 FM WMTS and fans DO NOT have the capability to call-in and ask questions.

SCHEDULE SET FOR SENIOR TRIBUTE ON MTTV: Richard Lowe, producer of The Rick Insell TV Show, sat down with the Middle Tennessee seniors last week and will air specials on the four players - Chrissy Givens, Carden Cobb, Krystle Horton and Whitney Tate - beginning Tuesday, February 20, on MTTV 10. Shows run this week as well as a marathon of all eight coaches show from this season on Sunday, Febraury 25. Coach Insell will appear on Couch Potatoes with Lowe on Sunday, as well, and the ninth edition of The Rick Insell Show will air beginning Tuesday, February 27.

GAME TIME FOR FLORIDA ATLANTIC: Middle Tennessee's game this Saturday, February 24, versus Florida Atlantic, tips off at 3 p.m., with Senior Day activities prior to the game. Four seniors - Chrissy Givens, Carden Cobb, Krystle Horton and Whitney Tate - will be honored prior to the game. The Blue Raider men's game follows at 7 p.m. at Murphy Center.

WOMEN'S HOOPS GEAR AVAILABLE AT LIGHTNING'S LOCKER ROOM: Middle Tennessee women's basketball t-shirts and sweatshirts as well as other gear is now available at Lightning's Locker Room, located on the track level at Murphy Center in the Southwest corner.

BLUE RAIDERS RANK 27TH NATIONALLY THIS WEEK IN ATTENDANCE: In this week's unofficial attendance compiled by the University of Wisconsin, Middle Tennessee ranks 27th nationally in average attendance and has played in front of two of the Top 50 crowds in the nation this year. The Blue Raiders are 27th in average attendance at 4,061 after 14 home games. The Blue Raiders are first in the Sun Belt, ahead of both Western Kentucky (2,252) and Arkansas State (1,880). Middle Tennessee's game at Tennessee on November 26 drew a crowd of 12,363, the 25th largest this year in the country, and the Blue Raiders' season-opener versus top-ranked Maryland ranks 50th this season with a record-setting mark of 10,010 at Murphy Center.

SUMMER CAMP DATES SET: Middle Tennessee's women's basketball camps have been set for the upcoming summer, with the Blue Raiders host four camps at Murphy Center. The Lil' Raider Camp is set for June 11-13 and Elite Camp will be held June 29-July 1. The two team camps are June 17-19 and July 26-28. SUN BELT CHAMPIONSHIPS TICKETS ON SALE: Fans may purchase ticket booklets for the Sun Belt Championships, scheduled for March 3-6 at the Cajundome in Lafayette, La., by calling the Middle Tennessee Ticket Office at 615/898-2103 or 1-888-YES-MTSU. Ticket booklets for the tournament are $84 for all eight sessions, which includes 14 total games. The ticket booklet covers both the men's and women's games. The Middle Tennessee women would begin action in the tournament on Saturday, March 3, with the semifinals on Monday, March 5 and the championship game set for Tuesday, March 6.
