Lady Raiders Defeat Austin Peay

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee volleyball (12-16) won its third match in a row with a 3-1 (29-31, 30-18, 30-21, 30-27) victory over Austin Peay (12-14) Tuesday in Alumni Memorial Gym.

Junior Goldie Bilyeu had her best all around game of the season as she recorded 49 assists, 15 digs and nine kills. Her .533 attack percentage was a match high and it was also Bilyeu's first double double of the season.

KeKe Deckard led all scorers with 22 kills and also notched 12 digs. It is the 12th time this season she had registered a double double. Freshman Victoria Monasterolo also had a quality match as she had nine kills and 14 digs.

Middle Tennessee dropped the first game after leading for most of the first game and then game back to win the last three to take the game. The Lady Raiders had a .256 hitting percentage compared to Austin Peay's .125 and only had 22 errors compared to the Lady Govs 33.

The Lady Raiders return to Sun Belt Conference play when the team hosts Arkansas State on Friday at 7 p.m. in Alumni Memorial Gym.
