Bulle's second-round 68 tied for the 19th best round in school history and enabled him to post a 3-under 141 and tie Jacksonville State's Daniel Willett and Southeastern Louisiana's Peter O'Keefe for the tournament lead after two rounds.
Middle Tennessee also continued to play well as a team in this spring season and stands at second with a 582, 11 shots behind host Southeastern Louisiana. The Blue Raiders are two shots in front of third-place South Alabama (584). The 15-team tournament field also includes three of the nation's top 50 teams, according to Golfweek Magazine, as well as four of the top 60 and enables the No. 65-rated Blue Raiders a chance to make a move with a strong final round.
Middle Tennessee is 11 shots ahead of No. 42 Chattanooga, 15 shots in front of No. 49 Mississippi, and 18 strokes ahead of No. 57 Mississippi State entering Tuesday's final round.
While Bulle is tied for the lead, sophomore teammate Chas Narramore continues to shine and is braced for his third top 10 finish in four spring outings. Narramore is tied for eighth with a 1-over 145 through two rounds, and freshman Craig Smith is tied for 16th with a 147. Nick Bailes (152) and Bart Barnes (153) rounded out the Middle Tennessee scoring through two rounds.
