MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee women's golf coach Rachael Moore announced the signings of three players to national letters of intent today. Taryn Durham from Glasgow, KY, Jamey Dillard out of Madison, TN, and Taylor Cooper from Clarksville, TN, will all be joining the Lady Raider program for the 2004 fall season.

Durham is a four-time first team all-state selection (2000-2003) for Glasgow High School and helped lead GHS to four straight Kentucky High School State Championships. The Kentucky Independent Insurance Champion and the Tri-State Challenge Cup Champion, Durham qualified for the U.S. Girls Juniors earlier this year.

Dillard, another four-time all-state choice, helped lead Davidson Academy in Nashville, TN, to state titles in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003. The three-time district champion, Dillard was also the region champion in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. Dillard, the 2003 Tennessee Girls Junior Champion, had an average 18-hole score of 74 during her senior year.

Cooper attended Clarksville High School for two years before spending her junior and senior seasons at Rossview High School. As a senior, Cooper led RHS to a state title and became the first individual to win a state championship in golf at Rossview with rounds of 73-77 in the 2003 state tournament. Cooper, who recorded the lowest nine-hole score in RHS history (33), was also the Lady's City Amateur Champion in 2003 and the Junior City Amateur Champion in 2002.

"I think all three of these girls will make an immediate impact on this program," Moore said. "They each have the ability to take this team to the next level and I am looking for great things out of this year's class.

"I have watched Jamey play now for a couple of years and she definitely has one of the best short games I have seen, while Taylor is an up and coming player with great focus for the game and is very competitive. Taryn is a scrappy player who makes things happen and has great course management."
