MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee basketball fans can get caught up in the excitement of the men's and women's Final Four by taking advantage of the Blue Raider Early Bird Basketball season-ticket signups, taking place Wednesday through April 10.

The list will be prioritized so fans who sign up earliest will have priority for selection of available seats for the 2007-08 season. The schedule and prices for season tickets in 2007-08 have yet to be determined; however, this offer enables fans to sign up on a priority list now to ensure they have the best-possible seats for what figures to be a hot ticket this winter.

"We feel like this is a great way to capitalize on a great season with the excitement going on at the Final Fours," said Chris Massaro, Director of Athletics at Middle Tennessee. "We want to encourage our fans to sign up quickly as basketball will be a hot ticket this upcoming season."

The Middle Tennessee women are coming off their most successful season ever after going 30-4 and winning an opening-round game in the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four years, and winning the Sun Belt Conference championship for a fourth-straight season.

"We want our fans to understand this is the time to get on the list because we expect these tickets to be in high demand," said Rick Insell, head women's basketball coach. "It's a great opportunity and we have had great attendance the last two years so we expect tickets to be in demand and this is the time to take advantage."

Seven of the top nine Middle Tennessee men's players are back, and the Blue Raiders welcome the return of All-Sun Belt Conference guard Adam Vogelsberg after he was forced to miss last season with a broken bone in his right foot.

Head Coach Kermit Davis has said the Blue Raiders' schedule will feature 15 or 16 home dates - the most ever - and the home schedule includes a contest against Memphis in Nashville. The Blue Raiders will also play host to a four-team tournament, Nov. 15-17, at Murphy Center.

"I think with seven of our top nine players returning and Adam Vogelsberg, an all-league player back, along with what we believe is a strong recruiting class, it's a very exciting time," Davis said. "I think it's the best we have felt about a group we are going to coach over the next 2-to-3 years. Our home schedule is going to be very good and we will play more home games than we ever have so this is the time to take advantage because the home season-ticket package will be very appealing."

In order to get on the list and take advantage of the Blue Raider Early Bird Basketball season-ticket signups, call the Middle Tennessee Ticket Office at 898-2103. The deadline is April 10.
