MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee Head Coach Rick Stockstill announced this morning the final rosters for the annual Blue-White Spring Game scheduled for this Saturday. The game will kickoff at 2 PM in Floyd Stadium.

"We broke down the roster and divided the teams to make the game as competitive as possible," said Stockstill. "We had to take into consideration the injuries we have right now, but the way we have done it should make for a great game on Saturday."

Head coaches for the two teams will be graduate assistants J.P. Shelly and Tyler Williams. Shelly will lead the Blue team, while Williams will make decisions for the White squad.

"Both of these guys work extremely hard and this gives them a chance to make some decisions during game-like situations," added Stockstill. "They will make the final call on all fourth down plays, field goals, etc... This will go a long way to helping them in their football coaching careers and will give them valuable experience getting up in front of a team and making decisions."

The White team will be going for back-to-back wins following last year's 14-7 triumph. This year's team will be led by all-conference players Damon Nickson, Tavares Jones, and Franklin Dunbar to go along with starting quarterback Joe Craddock, receiver Bobby Williams, defensive back Bradley Robinson, and defensive tackle Trevor Jenkins.

The Blue squad will be led by all-time sack leader Erik Walden, running back DeMarco McNair, quarterback Patrick Jackson, tight end Stephen Chicola, and receivers Taron Henry and Patrick Honeycutt. Jackson threw for 200 yards in last year's game for the winning White team.

A tradition under Stockstill that will continue is awarding the winning team with a nice dinner. On Tuesday, the winners will eat steak and shrimp while the losers will have hot dogs and beans.
