Chemin, Parkison Lead 4-2 Victory
Blue Raiders claim their straight victory

The Blue Raiders (7-11) won their third straight match, taking four of the six singles matches and dropping the other two in three sets.
Middle Tennessee won the first two completed matches, with 104th-ranked Hala Sufi defeating Leila Salek, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 1, before Claudia Szabo won Anna Djananova, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 4.
Houston's Vicky Simpson claimed a 6-2, 6-7 (2), 6-3, victory at No. 5 over Pooja Kommireddi, but Chemin came back with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, win over Sonja Nikolic at No. 3.
UH's Loli Gomez defeated Ann-Kristin Siljestrom, 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (3), at No. 2 before Parkison won the final match, 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-0, at No. 6.
"We did a good job hanging in every match, even when we fell behind, and we were able to pull out some close matches," head coach Alison Ojeda said. "We gained some confidence with [Saturday's] win and hopefully that will carry over."
The Blue Raiders take on 62nd-ranked Nevada on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT.
