MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's Rosemary Okafor and Kishara George each won events and the Blue Raiders finished 1-2-3 in the 60-meters during the second and final day of competition Saturday at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.

Okafor won the 400-meters for the second straight week, this time in an NCAA provisional time of 54.75. The junior also won last week at the Middle Tennessee Classic to earn Sun Belt Track Performer of the Week honors.

George, also a junior, won the 600-meters, a non-NCAA event run sometimes at indoor meets and always at IU. The St. David, Grenada, native finished in 1:33.61 to place first.

Also for the Lady Raiders, freshman Nicole Marcus finished fourth in the 60-meters in a time of 7.66 and also placed fourth in the 200 in 25.15. Freshman Tiffany Owens came in seventh in the 60 in 7.78.

The women's 4x400-meter relay also won, as Kerry Barrow, Contrena Brown, George and Okafor finished in 3:47.68.

Lady Raider newcomer Laetitia Florimond was seventh in the shot put with a mark of 43-8.5.

For the Blue Raiders, Xavier Darden, Pedro Holiday and Wesley Dupar-Scott were the top three in the 60-meters, with Darden and Holiday running the same time of 6.86 and Dupar-Scott just one-hundredths of a second behind for third. Holiday also came in third in the 200 in a time of 22.19.

In the 60-meter hurdles, Garland Martin was the top collegian, placing third in an NCAA provisional mark of 7.86, while Linnie Yarbrough came in fourth in 7.94, also a provisional time.

Sophomore Sean Waller placed third in the 400-meters in 48.60.

Sophomore JJ Sturm was first in the long jump with a mark of 23-5.25, while Greg Jones improved on Friday's mark as well in the triple jump with a mark of 48-3.5 for second place.
