ESPN Radio 106.7 - The Fan, Middle Tennessee Extend Agreement for Football, Men's and Women's Basketball 106.7 The Fan Signs Exclusive Three-Year Play-By-Play Contract With Blue Raiders

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (August 29, 2007) - Middle Tennessee, ESPN Radio 106.7 WNFN-FM, and Nelligan Sports Marketing announced today that 106.7 - The Fan will be the exclusive broadcast partner of the Middle Tennessee football and men's basketball team's beginning this fall and extending through the 2009-10 season.

"We are extremely excited about this radio partnership with 106.7 - The Fan," Middle Tennessee Director of Athletics Chris Massaro said. "We are middle Tennessee's team and this partnership with 106.7 is a major step in strengthening our presence in the midstate area. The Nashville market is very important to our success because we have more alumni in the area than any other university."

106.7 The Fan will broadcast the Blue Raider football and men's basketball home and away regular and post-season games, as well as three women's basketball games.

The football broadcasts will include a 60-minute pre-game show and a 60-minute post-game show, while the men's basketball broadcasts will have a 30-minute pre- and post-game show. Charlie McAlexander and Chip Walters are entering their second year together as the voices of Blue Raider football as play-by-play commentator and analyst, respectively, and will lead the broadcast team on 106.7 The Fan. Walters begins his 16th year as part of the Blue Raider Network and his fifth as color analyst for football.

The Fan will also be home to the Rick Stockstill and Kermit Davis weekly radio shows. The Rick Stockstill show will be broadcast 12 times during the regular season and throughout the post season and will get started tonight.

"This will provide great exposure for our football program," Coach Stockstill said. "We compete in the hotbed of college football so it's important to be on a station that is a regular on most peoples speed dial. Having our games air on 106.7 will help us to continue to enhance our image as we strive to elevate the Blue Raider program to new heights."

106.7 - The Fan is an ESPN all-sports radio station in Nashville covering the midstate area and is owned and operated by Cumulus Broadcasting. The station is home to the very popular ESPN's Mike and Mike in the Morning Show, along with ESPN's Dan Patrick Show in the middle of the day, and the Thom Abraham Show from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
