Rocafort Ranked 76th in Preseason Poll

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee sophomore Marc Rocafort is ranked 76th nationally in singles in the Preseason FILA ITA rankings released this week. The Blue Raiders begin the fall schedule this weekend with the 21st Annual Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.

Rocafort compiled a team best 28-12 singles record in 2006-07, ranking second on the single-season list for wins by a freshman. The Barcelona, Spain, native posted a 16-7 dual match record and won his final six singles outings last spring.

Rocafort joins a long list of Blue Raiders ranked in the ITA's first poll of the year. Middle Tennessee has had a player ranked in singles in the Preseason Rankings in seven of the last eight years, including two-time All-American Daniel Klemetz from 2000-02.
