Blue Raiders Perform Well in Georgia
Novak and Peers Post Doubles Win
September 21, 2007 · MT Media RelationsJunior Morgan Richard received a bye to begin the day but fell to Samford's Richard Delass 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 in the second round.
Sophomore Marc Rocafort, who is seeded 15th, received a bye in the first round but fell to Nicolas Delgado of Virginia Tech 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2.
Rocafort and Richard received a bye in the first round of doubles action. The pair will play Brassenauz and Forman of Wake Forest on Saturday in the round of 32.
Redshirt freshman Chris Novak and freshman John Peers defeated Mercer's Besancon and Ohrstrom 8-3. The two will face Cox and Ward of Kentucky on Saturday in the second round.
The Southern Intercollegiate Championships will continue play at on Saturday. Results from the tournament will be available on www.goblueraiders.com.
