Adams ended the match with 16 kills and just four attack errors as she posted a .414 hitting percentage. Defensively, Adams had five block assists and a team high 12 kills. Adams also scored 20.5 points for the Blue Raiders (15-1).
Kozon added to the Middle Tennessee offense as she had 10 kills with only one error for a .450 attack percentage.
Junior Ashley Asberry had five block assists and added eight kills of her own. Sophomores Sasha McGlothin and Ashley Mead added eight and seven kills respectively to assist Middle Tennessee offensively.
As a team the Blue Raiders knocked down 52 kills for a .452 hitting percentage. Middle Tennessee also had nine team blocks. The team held Troy to just 24 kills as the Trojans hit -.010 for the match.
The Trojans also had just two blocks as a team with three players hitting negative for the match. Junior Jennifer White had a team high six kills for the Trojans while junior Aubre Smith added five kills of her own.
In game two, the Blue Raiders posted a hitting percentage of .607 with 20 kills.
Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 28 to face Denver at 7 p.m. as it begins a four-match home stand.
