MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's Maggie McGill finished with a final score of 151 at the JSU Chris Banister Classic on Tuesday to share medallist honors with Candice Satow of Oral Roberts. McGill and Satow's 151 total went down as the fifth lowest score in the history of the tournament.

As a team, Middle Tennessee came in third with a 36-hole score of 637 to place just six shots behind tournament winner Jacksonville State and five shots back of second place Oral Roberts.

McGill, who had her best career finish and became just the second medallist winner in school history, struggled on the backside on Tuesday but found away to grind it out down the stretch. The Bowling Green, Kent., native birdied her final hole to earn the tie.

"I am really proud of the way Maggie played during the tournament," head coach Rachael Moore said. "The course is tough and when you add the wind we had today it becomes really tough to score on. Maggie was great and I was also proud of the way Kemmerlee Pennington played."

Freshman Jenny Kim tied for 11th overall with a 162, while Kristin Lynch came in 14th with a 164. Senior Tamara Munsch-Akers tied for 17th and Grace Holmes finished 22nd.

Pennington, playing as an individual, had the best finish of her career by tying for fourth. The junior from Crossville, Tenn., had a 154 including a career-best round of 76 on Tuesday.

The Lady Raiders will play next Monday and Tuesday at the Samford Women's Intercollegiate.
