MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The men's tennis team will travel to Lexington, Ky., on Thursday to compete in the ITA Southeastern Regional Qualifying Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Kentucky.

Six members of the team will represent the Blue Raiders in the tournament. Sophomore Marc Rocafort and junior Morgan Richard will not play until Friday because they are seeded in the tournament.

Also competing will be sophomore Alex McCann, redshirt sophomore Joao Paoloello, redshirt freshmen Richard Cowden and Chris Nowak and freshman John Peers. McCann will only compete in singles while Nowak will just play doubles when he teams with Peers.

"It is another good opportunity for these guys. I am trying to expose them to good competition. We will see how these guys perform. We had another good week of practice. I am hoping a couple of the guys who haven't stepped up will," head coach David McNamara said. "We are beating guys we are supposed to be beating and not beating the players we should not be beating. I hope we can get some good wins and that is how I will judge their results."

Play will begin Thursday, Oct. 18 at 8 a.m. and will run through Monday, Oct. 22. Results will be posted on www.goblueraiders.com as soon as they are available.
