NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team performed well to finish play at the June Stewart Invitational on Sunday.
Redshirt freshman Shannon Hartmann defeated Martie Wahl of UTM 6-4, 6-2, in the Marshall Summar draw
In the same draw, freshman Andrea Herrera defeated Julianne McMeen of UTM 6-1, 6-1.
In the Craig Clark draw consolation round, sophomore Parkison fell to Indiana's Alba Berdala 6-3, 6-2.
Sophomore Elvira Yusupova did not play her match with Carolina Escamilla of Kentucky for seventh place in the Edward Collins draw due to injuries.
In doubles action, Yusupova and Parkison fell to Escamilla and Johnson of Kentucky 8-0.
Also in doubles action, Herrera and Hartmann fell to Sigrid Fischer and Lindsey Stuckey of Indiana 8-1 in the Joanne Eskreis draw.
