Weather forces cancellation of Mason Rudolph

Cochran leads team scoring

October 23, 2007 · MT Media Relations

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Inclement weather forced the cancellation of the final two rounds of the 2007 Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate, making day one leader Ole Miss the team champion of the event at the Vanderbilt Legends Club of Tennessee.

Teams played between two and 11 holes on Monday morning before play was suspended due to rain and weather conditions in the area prevented the event from resuming on Tuesday.

Middle Tennessee shot 9-over 293 in the first round and finished 11th.

Blue Raider junior Rick Cochran shot even par and tied for 13th - four shots off the lead of Augusta State's Jake Amos, who fired a 4-under 67. Kent Bulle was 1-over 72 and tied for 21st. Rounding out the scoring for Middle Tennessee was Jason Millard (T41, 3-over 74), Chas Narramore (T62, 5-over 76) and Craig Smith (T66, 6-over 77).
