Kozon Named to All-Tournament Team

Freshman knocks down 11 kills in match with BYU

STATE COLLEGE, Penn. - Freshman Izabela Kozon was named to the Regional All-Championship team of the Penn State Regional for her performance against Brigham Young on Friday.

Kozon is the only Middle Tennessee player named to the All-Tournament team while BYU and Penn State each had three awarded tournament honors.

The Warsaw, Poland native, knocked down 11 kills for a .304 hitting percentage. Kozon also added assistance on defense with nine digs, one solo block and two block assists. She posted a team high 13 points in the match.

Kozon ended the 2007 season with 349 kills as she averaged 2.73 kills per game. She was second on the team in service aces with 36 and third in digs with 303. The freshman also had 79 total blocks on the season to add depth to the Blue Raider defense.
