The Blue Raiders stormed through the regular season posting a 35-3 record clinching the Sun Belt Conference regular season and tournament titles.
Middle Tennessee did not stop there defeating host Louisville in the first round of the NCAA tournament and upsetting No. 9 Hawai'i in the second round to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time in school history.
"The volleyball team had a phenomenal year and we thought this would be a great way to honor them for all of their accomplishments this year," Associate Athletics Director Diane Turnham said.
The Blue Raiders were ranked 15th in the final AVCA Poll of 2007 and head coach Matt Peck was named All-Region Coach of the Year as well as Sun Belt Coach of the Year.
The 2007 volleyball team had two Honorable Mention All-Americas in juniors Ashley Adams and Ashley Asberry. Adams was also named tournament MVP of every tournament the Blue Raiders won.
The team will be honored for their achievements during halftime and will sign commemorative posters at the conclusion of the Blue Raider basketball game.
"We wanted to give the community a chance to meet the team and congratulate them on their outstanding season and history making accomplishments," Turnham said.
