MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee fell to the Boilermakers of Purdue 7-0 on Saturday.
Purdue (1-0) began the match with a sweep of doubles to take the point and a 1-0 lead over the Blue Raiders in the match (1-3).
In singles action, sophomore Stephanie Parkison fell to Brooke Beier 6-0, 6-0. In the No. 2 position, freshman Shannon Hartmann dropped her match with Cigdem Duru 6-0, 6-3.
Senior Claudia Szabo fell to Stephanie Wooten while senior Ann-Kristin Siljestrom lost her match with Joanna Craven 6-3, 6-1.
Junior Marlene Chemin put up a fight with Anna Dzeva after dropping the first set 6-4 she rebounded to win the second 6-4. Chemin lost the match in a supertie breaker 10-6.
Junior Andrea Herrera rounded out play for the Blue Raiders with a 6-4, 6-1 loss to Alejandra Boeker.
Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 1 when it faces UT-San Antonio at 10 a.m. in San Antonio, Texas.
