Blue Raiders Prepare for Weekend
Men to face Denver and Minnesota
February 1, 2008 · MT Media RelationsHead coach David McNamara and his team travel to Minneapolis, Minn. this weekend to face Denver and Minnestoa.
The Blue Raiders are 2-2 on the season and will look to rebound from a loss at No. 35 Virginia Tech this weekend.
"The sign of a good team is how they rebound. We had a rough loss on Wednesday so hopefully we can turn things around this weekend," head coach David McNamara said.
Denver is currently ranked 66th and is 2-0 on the season with wins over Air Force and Northern Colorado.
"We will get a good indication of the conference in Denver. They are a good team and one of the teams to beat in the conference. I think we match-up pretty well with them especially if we are 100 percent healthy," McNamara said.
No. 41 Minnesota will play its first match of the 2008 season on Friday, Feb. 1 when it faces Denver.
"I don't know a lot about Minnesota. They are playing their first match tonight against Denver so we will be getting into the airport and going to watch them play," McNamara said.
The Blue Raiders will play Denver at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2. Then on Sunday, Feb. 3 Middle Tennessee will play Minnesota at 9 a.m.
