Women's Basketball Team Honored at Awards Banquet

Players, coaches, administrators and fans gathered to celebrate the Lady Raider's successful season and Sun Belt Tournament Title. Middle Tennessee coaches also presented team awards to the players.
Junior Patrice Holmes was named the team's Most Valuable Player, while Yamil Cordero was given the Behind the Scenes Award. Keisha McClinic, who was voted the Sun Belt's Defensive Player of the Year, was also named the team's best defensive player. Freshman Chrissy Givens received the Academic Award, with a 3.9 GPA, and Most Improved Award.
The Lady Raiders will also be honored at the baseball game on April 30 against Western Kentucky. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be given away to the first 200 fans and 400 commemorative posters will also be given away. Head Coach Stephany Smith will also throw out the first pitch.
