MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's Carl and Carlos Morgan as well as Zamzam Sangau all placed in the Top 5 in their respective events Saturday at the NCAA Last Chance Meet in Ames, Iowa, the last opportunity for athletes to improve their marks in order to qualify for next week's NCAA Championships.

Carl Morgan finished third with a mark of 23-11.5 and Carlos Morgan was fourth with a mark of 23-8. Carl ranks 35th and Carlos 38th on the NCAA Descending Order List for the long jump heading into this week's competition.

Sangau placed fifth in the mile run in 4:55.04, falling short of her goal to reach next week's NCAA Championships. Sangau's school-record time of 4:48.27 in the event set a month ago in Kentucky was just 27-hundredths of a second from provisionally qualifying for the NCAA meet in the mile run.
