MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's softball doubleheader with Tennessee State scheduled for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed because of inclement weather. The teams will play on Thursday, April 3, at Blue Raider Field at a time still yet to be determined.
The games are the eighth and ninth lost this season by Middle Tennessee because of weather. The squad lost one game in the Crimson Classic and the entire Buzz Classic was cancelled because of rain two weekends ago. The Blue Raiders also had one game of its conference series with 17th-ranked Louisiana-Lafayette cancelled for rain last weekend.
Middle Tennessee and Tennessee State will play either a single game or doubleheader on April 3. The number of games and start time will be determined in the next week.
Middle Tennessee continues Sun Belt Conference action this weekend with a three-game series at South Alabama. The Blue Raiders and Jaguars play a doubleheader Friday at 4 p.m. and then a single game Saturday at Noon.
Middle Tennessee returns home on Wednesday, March 26 with a doubleheader at 4 p.m. versus Austin Peay.
